How to get rid of panty line or thong line?

I'm 20 now and only started wearing thongs (because my mum didn't really let me lol). I was always worried about visible panty lines when wearing normal knickers, but someone told me the other day that even when wearing a thong, people can see the thong line. Is there any way of hiding this?
