New technique to detect breast cancer

First Warning Systems developed a system which measures the heat output from your breasts in order to detect breast cancer. This system can detect tumor growth up to six years before it would be detected via imaging. The system is relatively inexpensive, as the equipment consists of a sports bra with temperature sensors, plus a computer to analyze the data. Studies have shown that this device is about 90% accurate in detecting a tumor. The system is expected to be be FDA approved in 2014.
